MAIN DECK
Creature Breakdown
Aggressive Threats: Monastery Swiftspear and Soul-Scar Mage are early pieces that apply pressure early that must be answered before you damage your opponent to much.
Bonecrusher Giant: Is an above stated creature that also triggers Pia Nalaar when you cast it while it is on an Adventure.
Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival: The key piece that is the payoff for playing all the impulse draw in the deck. It is a solid body for two mana that creates tons of 1/1 flyers over the course of multiple turns.
Slickshot Show-Off is a creature that we can plot either when we are ahead to use our mana or early in the game to position ourselves to win in a single turn.
Noncreature Breakdown
Removal Suite: Early game removal consists of Chained to the Rocks. Then we have our removal that can also act as burn spells like Play with Fire.
Impulse Draw: Running three copies of Showdown of the Skalds and four copies of Reckless Impulse and Wrenn's Resolve. These provide us temporary card draw to keep turning through our deck.
Hand Interaction: Running one copy of Invasion of Gobakhan that pushes off one card for a few turns. When we flip the battle it helps us grow our team, while helping us fight through most wraths.
Sideboard Breakdown
Removal Suite: One copy of Get Lost to answer any creatures, planewalkers, or enchantments. Running two copies of Rending Volley to help answer Angels and Shredder.
Combo Interaction: Two copies of Alpine Moon to delay Lotus Field, while we apply pressure. Krenko's Buzzcrusher also helps against Lotus Field matchup by blowing up a Lotus Field. Containment Priest helps against Incarnation, Angels, and Transmogrify that use cards to put a creature directly into play.
Hand Interaction: Two copies of Invasion of Gobakhan to interact with combo strategies that also covers control.
Graveyard Interaction: Running two copies of Rest in Peace to slow down Phoenix and Greasefang matchups.
Showdown of the Skalds: Provides a little extra card draw against midrange and control.
Jegantha, the Wellspring: The key advantage piece we gain from playing Siege Rhino and other 1 color pip cards in our deck.
